Adam Leitner joined the TANF team in Spring of 2019 as the Education Program Director. In this role, he supports our current academic programs as well as future projects, including our ongoing school building project.
Education is a key factor in getting out of poverty, especially for the children sponsored through TANF. TANF is actively involved in each of our children’s education, and having our own school constructed and operating in alignment with our values and mission will further enable us to create a safe, stable, and productive environment for these children.
Adam joined the team shortly after leaving a career in the US federal government, and has a background in educational program management. Being a part of TANF has allowed him to fulfill a desire to work with change-making organizations that have tangible impacts on communities and people. His time in Ghana working with TANF allowed him to see the challenges these children face on a daily basis and how TANF is helping change lives in some of the most challenged communities.
